We have had our Voyager LZ15 (a slightly shorter version of the LZ16)for 10 months now and are super happy with it. We took a bit of a punt buyingthe caravan sight unseen and were one of GLIs first caravan customers.Everything has worked out great. The caravan is excellent both in terms offeatures and build quality. Grant and the team were great to deal with andhappily accommodated a large number of variations we wanted, including a 300amp/hr lithium set up, wireless braking with electronic sway control, remotelocking alarm and all the normal goodies (air con, etc). So far we have spent11 weeks living in, and even working remotely from, the caravan. Everythingworks perfectly and the only ‘issue’ we have had was a very minor leak where Ijust needed to push a pipe a bit further into a fitting. The caravan is superhigh quality, with great appliances and fittings – amazingly so for the money.Everywhere we go people want to know where we got the caravan. The only item wehave found not quite up to the standard of the rest of the caravan is theadditional annex we purchased (the awning is good). The annex walls haven’tproved to be useful (don’t seal out mosquitos, etc) so we will shortly buy aVango Kela V annex - a different design that should work great for NZconditions. We have taken the caravan down some off-road trails and added a fewcharacter building scratches, nothing has fazed it, even when we got it a bitairborne over some rough terrain (oops). The caravan is easy to level on unevensites, we regularly pick rough steep sites often in the best spots where otherscan’t go. Our longest fully off-grid stay so far has been 7 days and that’swith two of us having a shower every day (we opted for extra grey watercapacity and a second toilet cassette). The outdoor kitchen is fantastic onsunny days, we even cooked Christmas breakfast for the extended family with itat the beach. We also love having a proper oven inside – there’s nothing quitelike having a roast chicken on a rainy day. The caravan is easy to live in andjust works. Oh, though the mattress was too firm for our liking. A good thickmattress topper from Briscoes sorted that. Overall, we highly recommend thecaravan and GLI who we found to be a pleasure to deal with.

As a first-time caravan owner/enthusiast I had no idea of what I was getting myself in to, but thanks to Scott and the amazing team at GLI Caravans in Christchurch I was soon out on the road and 'living the dream'. I have had my caravan, model XT15HR, for just on a year now and have had so much fun learning about the ins-and-outs of this model and caravan life in general.
